"How might we make communication between the University & students more efficient?"

Understanding the Problem
To gather research data I used the interaction method in which I interviewed 45 students which included 33 Graduate students & 12 Undergraduate students to understand the issues that they are facing regarding the overall campus experience to figure out a problem to work on as a project. After this research, I realized that University email communication flaws.
Then derived the Problem statement for the project as follows,

The email communication between the University and students is inefficient. Students don’t always open emails from faculty and/or staff.
User satisfaction remains low because they are bombarded with either too many emails or emails that are redundant, irrelevant, and lengthy, or both.
This low satisfaction level may impact their ability to receive information critical to their academic success.

An App to manage all the Email ID's

Along with your University Email, you can manage personal email ID's and avoid using multiple Apps for each platform.
Project Vision & Solution
I came up with a solution to an email management app, which will improve the communication between all the stakeholders on the basis of research, interviews & prototypes.
Which will provide
-
One-stop solution for all the email services to minimize different App use
-
Customizable tabs for different purposes
-
A stand-alone feature to keep up with Campus activities that the user is interested in

Reviews from Stakeholders
”In the 11 years that I’ve been here, I have seen the usage of email increasingly decrease. I realized that by using email I’m not effectively reaching my students. Slack and texting became more efficient.” Tony Profeta, Adjunct UX Professor
”There’s too much email being sent around campus. If there’s a monthly thing that goes out and aggregates all the information, that will be very useful to everybody.”
Toril Hinchman, Director of Fitness & Wellness

” Every time when I open University Inbox I get overwhelmed by the bombardment of so many emails & because of that most of the time I miss out on important emails.”
Sneha Doshi, Grad Student (Textile Design)

MoSCoW Method
I used this method to define the features of my project, after listing out all the features, I listed down all the "Must have", "Should have" & "Could have" features
i.e. MoSCoW Method, which is represented as below,
